The journey

26 years of continuous evolution.

From the first personal relationships and the founding of ProSport to international transfers, long-term player development and the creation of AS1’s Greek pillar.

The journey

Four chapters. One continuous evolution.

From a personal decision at twenty-two, to a Greek agency with international reach — and from there to building the Greek pillar of a global platform.

01

From a personal decision to ProSport

I began at twenty-two, when representation relied entirely on personal relationships, trust and individual accountability. In 2004, I founded ProSport to turn those principles into an organised, long-term career strategy.

Giving Greek talent an international pathway

More than 350 international transfers across over 30 countries did more than create a record of deals. They built knowledge of different markets, access to the leagues that define value and proof that Greek footballers can compete at the highest level.

Relationships become trust capital

Over decades, I have personally built an extensive and active global network with presidents, owners, sporting directors, coaches and decision-makers across the game’s most important football environments. These trusted relationships create meaningful access: the right information arrives early, communication is direct and collaboration continues long after a deal is completed.

From ProSport to AS1: a new level

The first acquisition of a Greek agency in our industry recognised more than twenty years of work. Today, as Founder of AS1 Greece and a partner within an international platform, I can connect that knowledge and those relationships with greater scale, technology, data and specialist human expertise.

A defining transfer

Giorgos Karagounis to Fulham.

Captain of Greece. European champion. A leader entering the Premier League.

Bringing Giorgos Karagounis to Fulham was more than an international move. It represented the trust, judgment and direct access required to carry one of Greek football’s most important figures into another major European chapter.

Karagounis completed his international career with a record 139 senior appearances for Greece.

Selected journeys

Every next step is prepared.

A career is not defined by a single moment. It is built gradually, through the right environment, the right timing and a consistent, authentic narrative. Every decision should protect the present and prepare the next step with precision.

Discipline before, during and after the deal

The difference shows in the process.

The transfer is visible. The process that makes it right is usually not.

  1. 01

    Identify value

See the ability, character and potential before the market does.

  2. 02

    Build the story

Make the player’s direction clear, credible and specific.

  3. 03

    Engage clubs

Create direct access through trusted, long-standing relationships.

  4. 04

    Negotiate

Protect the sporting plan as rigorously as the agreement.

  5. 05

    Integrate

Support the person through a new club, league and culture.

  6. 06

    Protect long term

Stay accountable after the announcement and into the next chapter.

The principles behind my work

Relationships create value through action.

Trust built over time allows the right information to arrive when it matters and become a clear, actionable decision.

Innovation strengthens the quality of every decision.

Data and technology broaden the picture. Knowledge, experience and judgment identify what matters most in each individual case.

Responsibility follows the player into every new stage.

The true success of a transfer is measured by adaptation, development and the person’s ability to progress in a new environment.

A complete career strategy.

Performance, physical and mental wellbeing, public image, commercial value and preparation for life after football are brought together in one coherent, long-term plan.

Player marketing & commercial growth

Building the player’s value and public footprint.

Player development, public image and commercial potential belong to one integrated career strategy.

A player’s value is shaped by performance, the way he expresses himself, the relationship he builds with supporters and partnerships that reflect his character and values. We create positioning, content and experiences with continuity, allowing the personal brand to develop authentically and open lasting opportunities.

01PositioningA clear personal identity rooted in character and journey.
02Audience connectionExperiences and content that build an authentic relationship.
03Brand partnershipsPartnerships that create mutual value for player and brand.
04Long-term brandA consistent public presence with a future beyond the playing career.

Brand building

A personal brand is built alongside the career.

At ProSport, player marketing was developed as a dedicated field of strategy long before it became an established part of football representation. Since 2014, we have tracked how the digital environment shapes reputation, audience and commercial value. Today, this work brings together positioning, content, image-rights management, live experiences and brand partnerships in one coordinated plan. Innovation here comes from combining creative thinking, data and disciplined execution.

01 · INTERACTIVE STORYTELLING

Tasos Douvikas · The journey, live

ProSport created an interactive event at Atraktos around Douvikas’s career, character and mentality. A live, in-depth conversation turned sporting milestones into a human narrative for the media, partners and the wider football community.

02 · FAN EXPERIENCE

Kostas Tsimikas · Giant Heart

In collaboration with ProSport, Giant Heart created a Meet & Greet experience that brought supporters closer to Tsimikas in England. His ambassador role connected his public profile with social purpose and a relationship with fans that extends beyond matchday.

03 · EXCLUSIVE MEET & GREET

Konstantinos Koulierakis · Journey, values, future

ProSport designed an exclusive event around his development, his values and his next chapter in international football, creating a focused setting for live conversation and meaningful engagement with football and media professionals.

04 · OWN BRAND

KT21 · From identity to commercial value

The KT21 line translated Tsimikas’s identity into an owned brand. ProSport contributed to the commercial framework, image-rights management and activation of the project, including a social-impact apparel campaign connected with World Stray Animals Day.

Beyond the transfer

Football carries a responsibility.

My work has always been about more than contracts. I organised the conference against racism in football because I believe that those with a public role in the game have a responsibility to take a stand. Football should create dignity, opportunity and a sense of belonging for everyone.

Representation also means standing for the values the game should represent.

Personal

Where the consistency comes from.

I started at twenty-two, in a market where a man’s word counted for more than any contract. That stayed my rule, even as the work grew across thirty countries.

Three things cost me something to learn. Haste always costs more than patience. The club that genuinely wants a player shows it in how they talk about him, not in the number. And the moment that decides a career is rarely the transfer — it is the six months after it.

I am a father of two boys. That changed how I sit across from a nineteen-year-old and his parents. I talk about his next step using the criteria I would use for my own children, and that rules out a fair number of deals every year.
